Restoration

OCSR specializes in the care and restoration of logging locomotives like those that once hauled logs down the tortuous grades of the Coast Range to the prosperous mills of Tillamook County in the 1920s and 30s.

Railroad

The scenic railroad operates the line from the Tillamook Air Museum blimp hangar northward through the communities of Garibaldi, Rockaway Beach, and Wheeler. From there, the tracks turn eastward into the remote and breathtaking Nehalem and Salmonberry River canyons.

Let the kids stretch their legs on the newly-updated playground equipment, while the adults take in logging and railroad industry history. Everyone can enjoy views of the marina and Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad from the shaded picnic area.

Northwest Hardwoods

The Garibaldi waterfront experience is bookended by two unmistakable symbols of coastal industry: the fishing fleet moored at the Port of Garibaldi and the towers of logs and lumber of the Northwest Hardwoods sawmill. The mill brings to life Tillamook Bay’s long history of timber harvest, mill production, and log shipping.
