Hangar B

Hangar B, home of the Tillamook Air Museum, was built in 1943 to house K-class airships used in World War II for anti-submarine patrol and convoy escort. These airships had a range of 2,300 miles and could stay aloft for 48 hours.

Constructing the impressive Hangar B building required over two million board feet of lumber supplied by 50 different lumber companies. It covers more than seven acres and is over 21 stories high.
